Basics
After installing VideoRemap and restarting Davinci, the plugin will be available in your effects list as 'VideoRemap'. You may use it as a effect on a timeline clip or a node in Fusion.
Timeline
To use VideoRemap in the timeline, simply add the VideoRemap effect to a clip. You may use it on a individual clip (to map a single video) or a adjustment clip (to map a whole composition under the adj. clip)
The input clip resolution will be set to the resolution of the timeline.
Fusion
To use VideoRemap in Fusion, add the VideoRemap node to the composition and connect an input clip to it.
The input clip resolution will be set to the resolution of the connected input clip. The output resolution will match the input resolution. You may adjust the size of the output by turning on Use plugin RoD for output size in the Settings tab and then adjusting the Output Resolution X/Y fields. The minimum resolution is 1x1 and the maximum resolution is 16,384x16,384.
After adding the VideoRemap effect to your clip, you will have to load a Resolume advanced mapping XML. Click on Browse File and navigate to the XML you want to load. They're usually located in Documents\Resolume Arena\Presets\Advanced Output.
The advanced mapping XML needs to be made using Resolume, otherwise it won't load.
Once an advanced mapping XML has been loaded, it's stored on the plugin instance. So you can move the XML, remove it, change it etc and it will not affect the plugin. If you wish to reload the XML with any changes, click the Reload File button and it will try to load an XML from the location it was first loaded from.
You may now choose the mapping mode, screen and slices.
Mode
VideoRemap supports two mapping modes:
Map Entire Screen
This mode will map all the enabled slices in a selected screen. Any slices that have been disabled in Resolume will not be mapped.
Map Individual Slice
This mode will map the desired slice in the selected screen.
