Features

Timecode video mapped shows inside Davinci Resolve

External programs triggering clips to jerry rig a timecode inside of Resolume does not spark joy.

So, instead of that, program your clips in Davinci Resolve's timeline and use the VideoRemap effect to load Resolume advanced output mappings, then render that timeline out offline at full speed.

Complex Mappings Welcome

VideoRemap was designed to timecode VR club shows that require complex mappings, pushing past whats physically possible.

See feature support in documentation.

GPU Accelerated full-speed offline rendering

No more waiting while Resolume plays out your mapping while recording a large video file. VideoRemap utilizes your GPU to allow for full-speed offline rendering of your show into a video file.

Lower Iteration Time

With VideoRemap, experimentation is easy. Change the footage while keeping the same mapping. Change the mapping in Resolume, reload it in Davinci and see results immediatelly.

About

VideoRemap was created to address a slow and annoying workflow the author experienced while working on timecoded VR club productions.

Majority of VR venues have some kind of video mapping. Mapping content manually is time consuming and error prone. Some venues, like Furality Club F.Y.N.N, have discontinuous complex screens that require Resolume advanced mapping. However Resolume is quite bad at timecoded shows where planning and precision are required. Video editing software is more suited for that job.

VideoRemap solves this problem by taking Resolume's advanced mapping configurations and lets you use them as effects inside Davinci Resolve. It works both on timeline clips and as a node in Fusion.
